Welcome to Gunther's World

Do You Believe in Ghosts?
Hello, I am Gunther. Welcome to my home page. I know that many of you out there believe in
ghosts; some have seen them, heard them, and a few of you have even had the experience (
scary as it may be) to have felt them. This is not a pleasant thing for people, from what I've
heard
.
First, let me tell you that If there ever was a skeptic, it is I. After viewing many fake double
exposure photos, reading about the famous Harry Houdini, who exposed phony mediums such
as
the famous "Margery" , and watching ghosts blown out of proportion and their true stories
changed for entertainment purposes, who would want to admit that such things as "ghosts"
exist?
However, a while back, I brought the subject up at work on our break, only to find out that
out of the four people there ( which includes myself ) two of them had actually seen a ghost,
while the other experienced another type of phenomena, ghost related, of course. This truly
amazed, as all of the three co-workers of mine seemed very honest in nature, very sound in
mind, and very serious in and "in awe" in the telling of there stories. Yet, when asked ( while
leaving from another break ) if they would write down their stories for me, or at least allow
me to put them on my web site, none of them seemed to hear me.
Why is it that people aren't willing to go public with their stories? Well, I don't think I have to
answer that one, I'm sure we all can think of many reasons: Too shy; People will think I'm
crazy; They'll think I'm making it up, so why bother... the list goes on and on. Then we see the
jokers on some talk show on television...but wait...see what I mean? I guess it's best to just
keep it to yourself, or maybe confide in just one good friend...

Real Ghost Stories:

( All the stories printed on this site were told to me by good friends and colleagues and are, to
the best of my knowledge, real occurrences that have happened in their lives. Of course,
whether you wish to believe them or not is entirely up to you.
If you have any real ghost stories strange occurrences you would like to share with others, I
would be delighted to put them upon the sight for others to experience. You may submit your
story by emailing it to me at [email protected].
All stories will be reviewed for approval, and subject content may be edited. Note: All names
have been or may be changed upon request, to ensure the privacy of all concerned ). Now to
the stories..

See Uncle!

This story was told to me by a good friend. We must have got on a conversation about ghosts,
when he told me this story.

( We'll call my friend Horace ).

Horace, as a child, went into his parents' bed one night to sleep. Looking at the foot of the
bed, he saw a man. This did not frighten the child in any way, as the man appeared to be
smiling at him. Horace's parents noticed something was unusual when he began crawling
towards the foot of the bed, looking at something they couldn't see. "Horace, what are you
doing?" his parents asked. "I'm going towards the nice man." Replied Horace, smiling. "What
man?" his parents asked, surprised and concerned. "The man at the end of the bed." was the
child's reply.

"What does he look like?" asked his parents. Horace described their deceased uncle to them,
overalls and everything. Apparently the uncle had come back from the dead to see the child.
Horace told his parents the man was motioning him to come to him. "Don't Go!" his parents
shouted.

Later on Horace's parents told him who the man was. They told him not to go, possibly for
their fear that the uncle was there to take the child with him.

Children are supposed to be more attuned to this sort of occurrence.

Living Ghosts?

This was something very odd that Happened to me on several occasions. I would be in my
house (an apartment built along side my mothers house at the time) when I would clearly hear
the sound of footsteps walking alongside and around to the back door. I would then hear
someone knocking on the door. Now let me tell you this: the apartment consisted of two
rooms, a long narrow one with a bath and a small one, about ten by twelve feet.

When I heard the footsteps, I was usually in the small room ( where the back door was ), if
not on my way there. I remember being in the small room, hearing the knocks, and almost
immediately opening the door--yet no one was there. I would go out and look down the path to
the fenced-in back yard, look around the other side where a large fence was, only a few feet
away, enclosing the Business that is there. Still no one, no where to hide, no where to run that
fast, and I would surely hear and see them if they did.

So I would go back into my room, only to hear, about five minutes later the EXACT same
footsteps and the EXACT same knocking on the door. Again, I would open the door, this time
to find a good friend of mine. I would ask " Did you just knock on the door a few minutes
ago?" or "Were you just here a few minutes ago?" They would always tell me no, and at that
time I think we all walked to each others houses, as we were younger and none of us had
automobiles.

So I ask you, Could this have been a Living Ghost ? Could this person somehow have signaled
me that he was coming or did I perceive this on my own? This is a mystery to me still to this
day.

Great Balls of Fire!

Here is yet another story told to me by my good friend Horace. What made it great was that
we were in his house at the time so he walked me through the scene of the story as he told it.

It started not long after Horace and his wife had moved into their new house. One of them
was in the kitchen, the other in the living room ( I don't remember which was where, so I'll say
Horace was in the living room ). Horace yelled to his wife to come into the living room, Quick!

Upon entering, she ( and Horace ) saw an orange ball of fire, about the size of a basketball,
hovering over their television. As they watched, the orange orb moved towards the living
room doorway. Horace followed it as it floated down the hallway and into their bedroom. As
he approached the bedroom, he watched as the orb went up through the ceiling and then
"BOOM!"

It exploded with the sound of lighting and thunder!
Horace immediately ran outside to check the damage, sure to find a huge hole in the roof of
his house, but to his surprise there was none! What could this strange ball of fiery light have
been? A form of lighting?-- or maybe an angry spirit whose sacred ground had been violated.
What ever it was, it was the first and last time of this unexplained phenomena--so far.

Grandma's House

This all happened when a girl and her friend wanted their "Moment of Glory", you might call
it. A band was put together by musician friends of the two girls with the end result of the girls
being able to perform as singers at local "Jam Nites" or Open Stage nights.
The band was to practice at the drummers house, in the basement, a couple of nights a
week. Ken, the drummer, always seemed a little nervous or something. Of course, he did have
health problems from an old injury.
One night , while at practice, Anna, one of the girls, went upstairs to get a glass of water.
While descending the stairs, she heard the voice of a woman calling out "Kenny! Tommy! It's
time to go home!" After hearing this, she approached Ken, the drummer, and asked him " Is
your Mom upstairs ?" Ken's eyes popped and his mouth hung open. " What did you here?!?"
He asked, in awe. Anna repeated what she had heard, and ken was astounded.
He told us that weird things had been happening ever since he moved in, and that the place
was haunted.
The house was owned by Ken's Grandmother, and after she passed away, he inherited it or
bought it, I'm not sure which. Ken moved in and strange occurrences started happening. For
instance, Ken would be downstairs, practicing on his drums when, out of the corner of his eye,
he would see his Grandmother walk by with the laundry. He would stop and think "WHAT?".
On other occasions, he would here her calling out his name, telling him and his friend it was
time to go home, as Anna heard that night. It seemed as if Grandma didn't know she was
supposed to go.
Luckily, Anna had some friends who she thought may be able to help. Ken gladly agreed.
Anna's friends showed up, and Ken waited outside while they helped Grandma on to her final
destination.
So far Ken hasn't heard from her again.
Visit my page in the future, I'm sure there will be more to come... and now...
